Second Sunday Market Food Vendor Application - MAY WAITLIST ONLY

The Second Sunday Market is a local outdoor market featuring handmade goods, art, vintage, coffee, baked goods, and then some! It takes place on the Second Sunday of every month through October in downtown Saratoga Springs. It's run by two local Saratoga businesses, Mariahfied & Grateful Threads. This application is to get on the waitlist for the MAY MARKET - food vendors only.


When: May 11, 2025

Where: Congress Park in Saratoga Springs, NY by the carousel

Time: 10am-2pm


Details:

-Set up begins at 8 am

-Light rain or shine - weather related cancellations are at our discretion

-No electricity available

-The market is full at this time - this application is to get on the waitlist only

-You will only hear back from us is a space opens up


Tents:

-10x10 tent required

-Must have weights on each leg - per the city of Saratoga Springs & our insurance

-You will not be able to set up for the day without both a tent & proper weights - no refunds will be issued if that's the case

-Only exception is hot food vendors - while you can't cook underneath a tent, we can accommodate a larger space if you'd still like to use one as apart of your set up


Payment info:

-$45 vendor fee

-Please pay within three days of acceptance, otherwise we may pass the spot onto someone else

-We will send a payment link upon acceptance

-Vendor fee is non-refundable unless Noah and I make the decision to cancel the market in which case you will receive a 50% refund for the day.


Promotion:

-We do most of our promotion on social media and through printed media

-This is a community event and we do what we can to keep it affordable, please participate by sharing the event on your own social media and getting the word out there




All hot food and baked goods vendors must provide the following upon acceptance and within three days along with the vendor fee:


  1. General Liability insurance with the City listed as Certificate Holder and Additional Insured
  2. Workers Comp certificate (or Waiver)
  3. Deptartment of Health permit 


Any vendor planning to prepare and serve hot food is required to contact the Fire Department and Code Enforcement Office


Per the Saratoga Spring Fire Dept:

-Vendors serving and preparing hot foods are required to have an appropriate fire extinguisher available and ready for use.

-All cooking/heating appliances are required to be used per manufacturer's specifications.

-Any vendor using a 20lb propane tank, or larger, is required to provide a 10 foot connector hose to keep the propane tank at a remote distance. Propane tanks are required to be secured in an upright position to prevent tipping.

-Cooking is not allowed under tent canopies. 

-Open flames are not permitted.




Filling out this application does not guarantee acceptance. Please note we are not able to accommodate food trucks at this time.
